Monogram Gift Set

I made this super cute set of cards for BFF's birthday. She loved them!!! It got me thinking.... why not offer a class to make a cute monogram set of cards? I'm thinking $20 or $25 for 12 cards + envelopes and participants will get a pack of DSP (of their choice) to use and take home left overs. What a steal!

On a side note, I can't believe I'm 3-in-3-days on the posts! Hope this is making up for lost time and gaining me some momentum.

Monogram Gift Set
Stamp Set: Lovely Letters
Cardstock: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Kraft, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip
Designer Series Paper: Parisian Breeze Specialty
Stamp Pads (Classic): Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White (craft)

Accessories/Tools: Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, Big Shot, Texture Plates and lots of ribbon!

You can find the tutorial for the cute box it all goes in if you click here. Thanks Colleen for a great tutorial.

And thanks, Readers, for your encouraging and congratulatory words about my running! I know this is a stamping blog, but I run about as much as I stamp, so I appreciate you letting me talk about it. And now I'm going to train for a 10 MILE race! :)

Scallop Dress

Hello again! Two posts in one week, I'm on a roll! It helps that I had a lot to stamp this week and really put the nose to the grindstone. Sometimes I like having specific projects to work on... I always do better with a goal in mind. Of course, the flip side of that is then it really feels like work and I get frustrated with the amount of it I have to do. But anyway, I survived a busy work week and busy stamping week. Here's another creation.

Scallop Circle Dress
Stamp Ses: Oval All
Cardstock: Whisper White, Ruby Red, Pink Pirouette
DSP: Bella Rose
Stamp Pads (Classic): Ruby Red

Accessories/Tools: Scallop Edge Punch, Big Shot, Scallop Circle Die, Scallop Oval Punch, Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon, RHR Button Bouquet

These cards are all the rage over on SCS, and I like how my version turned out! To find out how I made this card, click here for Patty's tutorial and samples. I made a bunch of these cute cards as thank yous for a recent successful workshop. I hope the ladies from the workshop say "Those are so cute!" and come to an upcoming workshop I'm planning with this idea. :)

Thank You...

Thank YOU, readers, for being patient with me while I dawdled in my posting! I'm so sorry it's been a month. Eek! Lots has happened... I ran my 10K (6.2 miles) in 1 hour, 1 minute, 36 seconds (a 9:55 pace for those interested). This was well faster than my goal time of 1 hour 10 minutes! I also ran the Twin Cities Komen Race for the Cure on Mother's Day. I raised over $500 for Race for the Cure, so had to make some Thank You cards for the generous people who donated. Here's what I came up with:

Race for the Cure Thank You
Stamp Sets: Season of Friendship, Three Little Words
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Candy Lane
Stamp Pads (Classic): Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Pink Pirouette
Accessories/Tools: Big Shot, Top Note, Scallop Oval, Large Oval, Horizontal Slot, Certainly Celery ribbon from SAB bundles

It turned out just perfect, I think! I wanted something springy and pink (since it was the Race for the Cure). The crabapple trees are just blooming now in St Paul, so I thought these kinda look like them. I also LOVE this layout. I'm sure I saw it somewhere on SCS, but who knows where.... I spend hours browsing cards on there. :)

Thanks for looking! I promise not to to take so long before the next post. :)
